His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, officially opened the 39th edition of GITEX Technology which is held on 6-10 October at Dubai World Trade Center.

“The exhibition sector in Dubai has developed considerably over the years from a platform for the launch of new products to a stage for innovation, opportunities and exchange of ideas and expertise. Today, GITEX has evolved into an event where technology leaders share their vision,” Sheikh Hamdan said.

He welcomed exhibitors, saying “the event’s ability to attract thousands of companies from the region and the world, ranging from global IT giants to upcoming companies, opens new opportunities for us to work with the rest of the world in finding solutions that can make people’s lives easier and happier.”

This year’s edition aims to Synergise the Mind and Technology Economy through cutting-edge technologies, namely 5G which is certainly the main highlight of the show. One of the event’s key focuses is on how 5G is expected to transform the region and “change the world forever”. The future of transportation is another key focus at the exhibition.


The latest innovations in artificial intelligence and the rise of robots in everyday life are other key themes.

Operators, vendors, service providers and tech companies are all exhibiting to showcase their latest technologies and solutions. Exhibitors this year reached more than 4500 companies.

The Russian Export Center organized a collective Russian exposition under the motto “Made in Russia”, in which 27 companies cover total area of more than 400 square meters. Among them are such innovative companies as Infinet, ELTEKS, Speech Technology Center, Trinity Solutions, STC T8, Getmobit, STC PROTEI, EM Engineering, BreiniSoft, Qrator Labs, Nanosemantics Laboratory and others.

For example, Getmobit introduces first-generation of GM-Box linear devices and new behavioral security models with the GM Smart System platform, which open up new opportunities for corporations and government customers in the MENA region.
