Mikhail Shvydkoy, Special Representative of the Russian President on International Cultural Cooperation, highlighted the significance of hosting the Verona Eurasian Economic Forum in the UAE, describing it as a reflection of the evolving global economic landscape and its increasing diversity.
Speaking to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Shvydkoy emphasised that the forum, held in Ras Al Khaimah, has become a symbol of constructing a multipolar world — one that is inconceivable without a multi-dimensional, multilateral economy.
He highlighted that Russia remains a key centre of power and influence on the international stage, noting that the forum addresses pressing contemporary issues while exploring future opportunities.
This year’s forum attracted a wide range of participants, from Italian business representatives to delegations from Asia, Africa, Japan, and Saudi Arabia.
The forum in the UAE has become a platform for fostering dialogue to advance cooperation and strengthen international relations.
