The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) on Friday announced the issuance of silver coins that feature Expo 2020’s official mascots.

The Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) and Dubai Solar Show kick off 5 October 2021 under the theme ‘At the Forefront of Sustainability’. The exhibition is organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and under the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy.

After eight years of preparations, Dubai (United Arab Emirates) is lifting the curtains tonight on Expo 2020 Dubai, the first World Expo in the MEASA region. Leadership of the UAE and over 190 participating countries are gathering at the Expo site today for a spectacular opening ceremony, taking place at 7.30pm GST / 3.30pm UTC and live-streamed online and to more than 430 locations in the UAE.

The Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) and Dubai Solar Show, organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is the largest exhibition of its kind in the region and one of the most prominent international exhibitions in water, energy, electricity, environment, oil, gas, renewable energy, and environmental sustainability. 

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and Founder and Chairman of the Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) and Dubai Solar Show, announced that 1,200 companies from 55 countries will take part in the 23rd WETEX and Dubai Solar Show. 

ADNEC has told EW it is to be involved in the launch of six new shows next year, beginning in February with The Gulf International Flower and Garden Show. That show is by East Arts, a new organiser at ADNEC.

A landmark event in the industry’s calendar, Gastech 2022 will shape the future of energy by bringing the industry together to discuss the global energy agenda.
