Expo 2020 Dubai’s Global Best Practice Programme is looking for effective solutions that can be adapted, replicated or scaled to create a better world for all.

Creating a better future for everyone may seem like a huge challenge, but there are countless local projects with the potential to achieve a broader impact. Expo 2020 Dubai aims to spread best practice by highlighting solutions that can be implemented globally to achieve widespread change.

Expo’s newly launched Global Best Practice Programme, ‘Small Steps, Big Leaps: Solutions for Sustainable Impact’, wants to hear about simple but effective initiatives that can be adapted, replicated or scaled to benefit communities around the world.

This international call for projects will identify ‘Best Practices for a Better 2030’ by creating visibility around solutions related to Expo 2020’s theme of ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’.

The programme is designed to localise the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within countries, communities, neighbourhoods and households to ensure that no-one is left behind.

Applications must address one of five priority topics: resilient habitats; livelihoods and enterprise development; social development; water, food and energy security; and inclusive and sustainable service delivery.

Expo 2020 will provide exposure and networking opportunities to successful applicant entities. Selected projects may even have the chance to showcase their projects to millions of people during the next World Expo.

By sharing success stories with visitors and participants from every corner of the planet, Expo 2020 Dubai’s Global Best Practice Programme will place people at the centre of change, with global communities as the ultimate beneficiaries.
