Graham Stephenson, has been director of exhibition sales at ADNEC since 2016, following 15 years at London’s Business Design Centre. A former AEV chair, Stephenson has been on many judging panels throughout his career, for the AEO Awards, the Middle East Awards and the EN Awards a number of times.

“I’ve always felt that entering industry awards gives you the chance to pit yourself against your peers and provides the opportunity to take pride in your achievements and showcase your organisation,” he comments. “Getting shortlisted offers fantastic recognition for your internal teams. For example, our environment and sustainability team are so passionate about what they do and take great pride in their initiatives being recognised on a global stage.

“Speaking as a former judge, I have seen the EN Awards shift focus over the years to add categories that recognise teams and individuals as well as organisations. This aligns itself perfectly to the ethos of the ADNEC Group.

“I share ADNEC’s belief that a company’s value is in its people and making a shortlist is recognition for our teams, their passion and achievements.

“The benefit of having judged so many awards entries over the years means that I know how difficult it can be to create a shortlist from so many high quality, professional submissions. The breadth of skill base across the industry never ceases to amaze me. I am very excited that we have been shortlisted in two categories and wish all the other finalists the very best of luck.”
